The school, at 7332 Village Center Drive, is a culinary school for kids that offers camps, workshops, birthday parties and cooking classes and also a small store area with gifts.

Farmers Impacted By Severe Storms Eligible For Low Interest Loans

JEFFESON CITY, MO. (KTVI) - The U.S. Department of Agriculture has declared farmers in the counties of St. Charles and Lincoln are eligible for low interest loans, for damages in the months of April and May.

Disaster declarations allow farmers to seek assistance from the USDA Farm Service Agency for emergency loans.

Farmers need document their losses from the April-May weather events and provide that information to the USDA FSA office.

ST. CHARLES, MO. (KTVI) - A cyber security conference at Ameristar Casino is set to start this Monday and continue into Tuesday, June 4th.  The conference will look in-depth look into the mind of a hacker.

The recent credit-card security breaches at Schnuck's have focused attention on how to protect against online attacks. Dave Chronister, a professional hacker and co-founder of Parameter Security warns that a system that has been compromised once can be easily attacked again.

(KTVI) - A new strip mall proposed on Hwy K could feature two new restaurants with drive-thru windows on each end.

The new 16,200 square foot retail center will be located between the St. Louis Bread Company restaurant in O'Fallon Center and a Goodwill store planned for an empty lot to the north.

It's called the "Marketplace Fairness Act" and supporters say it levels the playing field between online retailers and brick-and-mortar stores by requiring online merchants to pay sales taxes to the states, counties and localities where they have done business.

Opponents include anti-tax activists and retailers who say it will be overly burdensome—in fact, nearly impossible, they say, to keep track of the tax rates and tax requirements for the myriad of taxing agencies where they may be doing business.
