Meet The New Commander of The Greater St. Louis Major Case Squad

 

ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI (KTVI)- The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis has a new commander.  The Squad is one of the longest standing collaboration of professional law performance agencies in the nation. We introduce you to Ferguson police captain Dan DeCarli.

Captain Dan DeCarli  is the new commander with the Major Case Squad .
He's a 37- year veteran officer and has served 25 years on the Major Case Squad.

The commander is the person on stand by 24- hours a day and decides when the Major Case Squad should mobilized on a crime. The Major Case Squad encompasses six counties in Missouri and four counties in Illinois and serves nearly 2.5 million citizens.

Dr. Debra Peppers was a high-school dropout and troubled youth who overcame the many obstacles in her path to achieve tremendous success as a teacher. She earned a doctorate, induction into the Teacher Hall of Fame, and eventually taught on the masters level.

Visiting schools all over the world has allowed her to share her insights through many cultures. Most recently, Dr. Peppers founded pepperseed.org to help motivate others to overcome their obstacles and achieve success.

Wentzville Woman Dies at Hospital After Motorcycle Crash

One of the victims of Sunday's motorcycle accident on Highway 94 has died as a result of her injuries, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

Jessenia Tirado Rosario, 34, of Wentzville, died at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur.

Sheriff's Department Seizes 60 Pounds of Marijuana After Traffic Stop

The St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department seized about 60 pounds of marijuana following a traffic stop on Interstate 70 near Wentzville.

A St. Charles County deputy pulled over a pickup truck for a traffic stop at about 9:17 p.m. Sunday on eastbound I-70 at the 205 mile marker.

Teen Killed By Train in Wentzville Identified

The man that was struck and killed by a train Sunday morning has been identified as a 15-year-old boy from Arnold.

Mitchell Maserang was wearing headphones and walking away from the westbound train when he was struck at about 9:45 a.m. Sunday, according to officials at Norfolk Southern Railroad.

WWII Vet to Lead Wentzville Fourth of July Parade

Dr. Lester Schmucker, World War II veteran and longtime resident of Wentzville, will serve as Grand Marshal for Wentzville’s upcoming Independence Day Parade, which will feature the theme Hats off to Our Heroes.

The parade’s theme is designed to honor and salute our country’s past and present heroes and the sacrifices they made to purchase the liberties we enjoy.
